Oasis Scourge // Obsirose Project I won't spend as much time on this one, but good job on the music loop! I can't tell from the sound if this should be considered as a basic theme or a battle theme, but if it is the latter, I would recommend coming back to this to add a little bit more staccato and more energy with the drums. Good work though!

Pouster Jopi // Obsirose Project This is good, but it feels a little bit off. Kinda reminds me of Zan Partizanne from Kirby, and some tiny resemblance to Thunderblight Ganon from BOTW. Very well done animation, I appreciate the effort you put into the backgrounds, but I would consider making the background a little bit more original. Desert levels in games are so overdone and this is a cool idea, it could just use some originality. Besides though nitpicks though, this is very well done!
To answer your question, my favorite 2D platformer is definitely Shovel Knight. I love the unique characters sprinkled throughout the four main campaigns, I'm really exited for the 10th anniversary coming up in about a month btw! I would recommend you try it Tyhond! It's quite addictive to be fare though...

Also, Originality starting to get quite harder to do because with more people comes more of the same thing, making everything else Niche, cliche, unoriginal, which kinda is unfair to some extent. Like as the years goes on, originality is gonna be a needle in the haystack, more so if the person is consumer of the same thing many times. Of course, people who never seen much of the same thing often judge by how it looks, not how much time they see the same similar thing multiple time.
That is why I like looking at things as if it's by itself and not because I've seen the thing a million time.
